Chatham Rabbits

Chatham Rabbits

The husband and wife team of Austin and Sarah McCombie make up the folk duo Chatham Rabbits. Their musical journey began when Austin spotted Sarah onstage in 2013, opening for Mandolin Orange. With Sarah on banjo and Austin on guitar, they are known for their tight harmonies on originals and old-time mountain songs.

Sarah, a North Carolina native, began her music career with the old-time band, The South Carolina Broadcasters as a lead vocalist and banjo player. For Austin, Southern music always played an essential role in his upbringing. His parents, from Wilmington, N.C., showed him country classics and beach music standards while his relatives in southeastern Virginia immersed him in bluegrass.

Cane Mill Road

Canemill Road

Cane Mill Road, whose members range in age from 16 to 21, grew up down the road from Doc Watson near Boone, North Carolina. Audiences love Cane Mill Road’s high-energy performances, easy-going rapport, and the group’s eclectic mix of originals and standards. They walk the lines between bluegrass, old-time, Americana, and folk, rocking traditional bluegrass standards as well as putting a bluegrass spin on songs by Bob Dylan, The Beatles, Gordon Lightfoot, and more.
