Humpback Rocks
The Bouncers, from Staunton, Va., are favorites at square dances, contra dances, and community events. Their bright, dynamic music promises to bounce you in your chair or onto the dance floor. Band members are Jim Harrington, Richard Adams, T.J. Crow, and Bill Wellington bring a sound that is sometimes big, sometimes small, and always fun.

The Blue Ridge Parkway’s northernmost visitor center epitomizes the blend of cultural and natural features that defines the the Parkway. Hike to a rock outcropping or explore the 1890s farm buildings relocated to the site during Parkway construction. Milepost Music concerts are held the first and third Sunday of the month, June through September, under a majestic tree on the grounds of the historic farm.

The Blue Ridge Music Center’s Milepost Music brings free concerts by local and regional artists to locations along the scenic Blue Ridge Parkway. No tickets are needed. Bring a chair and a picnic lunch. No alcohol permitted on site.
