The Brothers Young is a bluegrass duo from the mountains of Roanoke, Va. The sibling duo’s love for bluegrass music came from growing up listening to classics like Flatt & Scruggs, Ralph Stanley, Osborne Brothers, and many more.

There is so much to do at Peaks of Otter. Visitors can camp or stay the night at the historic lodge, dine in the restaurant, tour Johnson Farm and Polly Wood’s Ordinary, take a stroll around Abbott Lake, hike a trail, or take in a concert. Milepost Music concerts are held the second Sunday of the month, June through September, near the banks of Abbott Lake. In case of rain, concerts may be moved to the event room at the restaurant.

The Blue Ridge Music Center’s Milepost Music brings free concerts by local and regional artists to locations along the scenic Blue Ridge Parkway. No tickets are needed. Bring a chair and a picnic lunch. No alcohol permitted on site.
